Justice for James? Certainly not in the LMJC or Hamilton County

Honest and decent people do live in the United States, but they no longer work in the "justice" system. Instead, we are seeing a system that is populated with liars, criminals, bullies, and people who have no place in a decent society.

If there is any place in the USSA where that especially is true, it is in the heavily-churched and supposedly "Christian" area of Northwest Georgia, the Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit. On Sundays, many of the players in the LMJC go to church and sing about Jesus, and then the rest of the week, they worship their real god, the Devil.

Why do I wrote so graphically? Let me quote Jesus (whom Brian House and Tim Deal claim to worship) who told the Pharisees in John 8:44:
You are of your father the devil, and your will is to do your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and has nothing to do with the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies. (ESV)
Deal has lied under oath and at least on one occasion, fabricated a document in which he claimed to be somewhere where he was not. House has lied about his ex parte meetings with prosecutors and went along with Chris Arnt when Arnt openly lied to jurors in the closing arguments of the Tonya Craft trial. In other words, both of these men, along with prosecutors like Arnt, Len Gregor, and Alan Norton are all about lies, and according to the Jesus these men claim to follow, Jesus said that people who lie (and lie consistently) have Satan as their father.

All of this leads me to the present situation of James Combs, who agreed to plead guilty to a misdemeanor in House's court because, to be frank, he could not trust House to run a fair trial, Norton and Deal to tell the truth, and a Catoosa County jury to listen to evidence. That is a damning indictment upon the people of Catoosa County and Northwest Georgia, who have put these people into power.

From what I have been hearing, Deal and Norton have tried to get James listed as a "sex offender" in Tennessee (where he lives and will be under probationary supervision) even though the misdemeanor to which he pleaded guilty does not carry the "sex offender" label. Nonetheless, dishonesty rules not only in Catoosa County and the LMJC, but also in Hamilton County, home of gang warfare, brutal (and dishonest) cops, and prosecutors who look the other way when felonies are committed in front of them.

From what I also understand, local cops are constantly harassing the Combs family. What can I say except that this kind of behavior from those who wear the blue costumes can be expected.

When Joal Henke testified in October 2010 in Hamilton County Circuit Court (Judge Marie Williams), he committed perjury and then admitted to having committed mortgage fraud, which is a federal offense. In fact, today, I just signed a paper in which I acknowledged that mortgage fraud is a felony punishable up to 30 years in prison.

So, Henke committed two felonies in Hamilton County, one a state crime and the other federal. But does Bill Cox or the local U.S. attorney care? Well, of course not! Why pursue criminals when one can harass and imprison innocent people?

If people wonder why I am so cynical about Chattanooga and North Georgia, all I can say is to look at the liars and thugs that inhabit "law enforcement" and "justice." I continue to wonder if there are any decent people left in public life in my old hometown, but I am having my doubts.

True very true, But as long as we let them by with this they will continue, We the people are going to have to take matter's into our own hands, March on the governor Office lawn, They will get tired of all the publicity and look into some of these cases MAYBE..

Thank you for writing this essay.

Justice? no such animal...

So many folks keep thinking that justice can prevail. So many folks keep believing that working within the matrix can cure the ill that infects the shot-callers and enforcers, not understanding that the illness is part of their being.

As much as I hate to say this, I wonder whether it's actually easier for police and prosecutors to go after innocent people. I say this because it seems like innocent people are often far more ignorant of the law than people who have intentionally committed crimes. Innocent people also seem more likely to have faith in "the system", which ironically puts them at a significant disadvantage if/when "the system" goes after them. On the flip side, this faith in "the system" leads innocent people to more readily convict defendants in criminal trials, as they figure "the system" is so competent as to preclude the possibility of a wrongful conviction. (Having served on a jury recently, I think I can attest to this firsthand.)

You nailed it, Rob. And today prosecutors and police no longer have any sort of moral compass that keeps them from going after innocent people. They simply don't care.

Ditto Bill's validation of Rob's comment. What's really terrifying is when you stop to consider, given the overt corruption and incompetence of the "justice" [sic] system, how utterly acerebral someone would have to be to place any faith in it whatsoever. If we're living in a nation populated in the majority by people who are that stupid, we're completely screwed, with no hope of redemption AT ALL.

And yet ... more and more, it seems that the mainstream news media is starting to run accounts of people who have been falsely convicted thanks to police and prosecutors withholding (or even manufacturing) evidence, etc.

MAYBE one day we will see "cleaning up the justice system" as an actual campaign issue ... with candidates pledging that if elected they will enact laws to hold those acting "under color of authority" PERSONALLY accountable for knowlingly committing such violations.

Maybe.

If we do not have faith in a change in the system, What do we have to look forward too. They keep doing what they are doing. There has to be something we can do.

This type of corrupt behavior is not limited to LMJC and Hamilton County. Take a peek into Rhea County when you need a change of scenery.

You are right Beth, They are all corrupt. Lord help us all.

I know Mr. Combs. Awful is that he has to carry an ID card to present to any law enforcement which carries the label "SEX OFFENDER" in bold letters. This is a gross injustice since there are no such charges.

Brian House may be too busy chasing women since his failed marriage. Would love to hear how his ex wife describes his actions, demeanor, and personality. His priorities and lifestyle don't seem consistent with who he claims to be. It is a sad day when someone as dishonest and corrupt as Brian House wears a robe. I bet our nations forefathers are rolling over in their graves at what he and others have made our system out to be - a mockery!

Too bad we will never find out about what his ex wife thinks, I hear she and her relatives had to sign a disclosure to never disclose anything he did or talk about him. So that there should tell you, he was up to no good. Of course we all know that.

Anon. 10:42am. That is too BAD. Because he is a Crook, And we all know it. But how are we going to get them out of Office.

Work like hell to get the Good Ole Boys out of office!!! Anyone who worked in the Sheriffs Dept during that trial should NOT be Sheriff!!! Spread the word among your friends and relatives to vote, and vote them out. I know the judicial positions are much harder but maybe if we can get an honest Sheriff with some integrity they won't pursue such ridiculous accusations against innocent people. And pray.

Did Brian House recently divorce? If so this is his 2nd divorce. I know his first wife and what she shared regarding his character is why I didn't vote for him the first time.
