Sad news: Siobhan Reynolds has been killed in a plane crash

One of my favorite people, Siobhan Reynolds, who was a voice of sanity in the insanity of the Drug War and especially the government's war on doctors and pain medications, has died in a plane crash. The account is here, and Radley Balko's tribute to her is here.

Siobhan and her son came by our place in Finzel two months ago for a brief visit. She was a most lovely woman and someone I admired greatly. This is a real blow, and I shall miss her very much.

Another gov't critic dies in a plane crash. Are you sure there's nothing suspicious about the crash?

I'm so sorry!

So very sorry. I wish reporters understood aviation enough to provided important details. What was the plane model and manufacturer? What was the weather? Was the pilot making an IFR approach? Did the plane hit a high line or just miss the runway and wind up in a bar ditch? A little information would go a long way in either dispelling or suggesting a potential conspiracy.

"Another gov't critic dies in a plane crash. Are you sure there's nothing suspicious about the crash?" Put the tin foil back on. I believe completely the opposite of what she felt concerning over prescription of pain medication but I feel for her family.

Smells to high heaven. Very suspicious. Another hit job probably on someone who threatens the money makers.

I'm not sure which "money makers" she was threatening, given she was taking on federal prosecutors and the DEA.

Are Tanya Treadway and the DEA happy she is dead? You bet! I'm sure Eric Holder also is happy.
